Issues with print quality from your supplier

Modified on Thu, 24 Jul at 2:27 PM

It can be disappointing to receive printed materials that don't meet your expectations. When you're not happy with the print quality from your supplier, it's important to identify the cause so the right team can help rectify the issue.

1. File Supply or Template Issues

What this means

This refers to problems that originate from the files we supplied, or from the BrandPlus template itself. Examples include incorrect text layout (not due to your input), low-resolution elements within the template, or unexpected formatting errors.

What to do

If you suspect the print quality issue is due to a problem with the file supplied by BrandPlus, or a fundamental issue with the template used, then it's our team's responsibility to investigate and rectify it. Please contact us with details and examples, and we'll look into it for you.

2. Print Production Issues

What this means

This covers problems related to the physical printing process itself, such as colour inaccuracies, poor registration, paper quality, cutting errors, or overall print finish. BrandPlus acts as a portal that supplies the files to your chosen printer.

What to do

If the issue stems from the printing process, you'll need to address it directly with your print supplier. They are responsible for the physical production of your order and will be best placed to assess the problem. It will also be up to your print supplier to decide if a reimbursement or re-print should occur.

3. Signage Supplier Issues

What this means

This refers to problems specifically with your physical signage products, such as signboards, pointers, stickers, and open boards. It includes issues like faulty installation, signs arriving damaged, or print quality problems related to the signage material itself (e.g., fading, peeling, or incorrect material).

What to do

If your concern relates to the installation of signage, damage to the physical sign itself, or the print quality as it pertains specifically to your signage product, you will need to contact your signage supplier directly. They are responsible for the production, quality, and installation of the physical signage product.

4. Photography or Image Issues

What this means

This applies if the print quality problem is specifically related to the quality of the photography, individual images, or floorplans used in your artwork. This could include items appearing pixelated, blurry, or having poor colour balance when the original source quality was insufficient, even before being placed in a template.

What to do

If the quality concern lies with the original photography, images, or floorplans, the issue would need to be addressed with the photographer or the image/floorplan supplier directly. They are responsible for the quality and resolution of the source imagery.

Remember: Floorplans should ideally be supplied as vector PDFs for optimal print clarity.
